The Blackview Tab 11 is the latest Android tablet developed by Blackview who are well known for their rugged Android phones and budget Android tablets. This new tablet not yet been announced officially, however marketing material has already started to show online.
Update: The AlIExpress listing has been updated with new images and more specifications. The tablet is available in Meteorite Grey, Teal Green and Moonlight Silver.
Off the bat what sets this Android tablet apart from other brands like Teclast, Alldocube, BMAX etc. is that it offers Google’s Widevine L1 DRM certification. What this means is that the Blackview Tab 11 can stream video from Netflix and Amazon Video in HD.
Almost all budget Android tablets and even some from the big brands (like Lenovo) do not offer Widevine L1 DRM and thus content is streamed in normal definition.
The tablet is running Doke OS_P 2.0 which is a Blackview’s own version of Android 11. Looking at news release of Doke OS_P 1.0 we can assume that this is simply a reskinned version of Android and will retain many of the features found in stock Android 11.
Other specifications that have been released includes a 10.36″ display with 2K resolution, a UNISOC T618 Octa-Core CPU, 8GB RAM, 128GB Storage and a 6580mAh battery. The tablet weighs 460g and has an 8.1mm slim body. All of this hardware is pretty consistent with other budget Android tablets released recently.
The tablet will feature a 13 MP rear camera with a Sony IMX258 sensor and an 8 MP front camera with a Sony IMX219 sensor. This means that the Blackview Tab 11 will do a decent job at photos and should be good for video calls.
As for predictions of what else this tablet may feature? It will most certainly have 4G LTE connectivity with a dual sim tray, expandable storage via Micro SD card, a Bluetooth keyboard (or Pogo pin) and a plastic/metal frame.
Blackview Tab 11 Availability
No word yet on pricing or when this tablet is expected to be released.
Considering there is now an AliExpress listing for the Blackview Tab 11, we can assume that a launch on the 11th of November during Singles Day is likely.
